Signup Forms

After you have driven people to your website or landing page, it is important to have a way to follow up with them. Signup forms are an effective way for a business or membership organization to build an online database of current and potential customers. Adding an email signup form to your site encourages visitors to become email subscribers or group members. Simply create a signup form with customized fields to collect the needed information from your contacts. With GreenRope, you can also build Facebook forms to appear on your Facebook business pages, making it easy for interested viewers to sign up for your group or email newsletters right from Facebook.

Exercise 4C: Create A Website Signup Form

  1. Open up your GreenRope account

  2. Make sure you are in the group you created in the Implementation course (Exercise 4A)

  3. Click on the "Guide Me" button

  4. Complete the “Create A Signup Form” interactive exercise

For reference, here are the steps to creating a signup form:

  1. Open up your GreenRope account

  2. Hover over Website

  3. Select Signup Forms

  4. Click “Build a new form”

  5. Name your new signup form

  6. Click “EasyBuilder”

  7. Update your form’s design here

  8. Click “Fields”

  9. Drag & Drop into the “Mandatory Fields”

  10. Click “Groups”

  11. Drag & Drop the group names you would like assigned to your signup form into the “Add to These Groups” field.

  12. Click Close

  13. Click HTML

  14. Use the different Link Methods to place your new form onto your website.

In this final step you will select a Link Method to place your new form onto your website:

LINK - Use the URL provided here to add a link to your website signup form to your website.

FORM - You can copy/paste the generate HTML code found under the Form option to add your form directly to your website.

iFRAME - embed the entire form inside an inline frame (iframe) and put that inside your website or add a flowing iframe with the optional delay.

Exercise 4D: Create A Facebook Signup Form

  1. Open up your GreenRope account

  2. Click on the "Guide Me" button

  3. Complete the “Create A Facebook Signup Form” interactive exercise

For reference, here are the steps to creating a Facebook signup form:

  1. Open up your GreenRope account

  2. Hover over Website

  3. Select Signup Forms

  4. Hover over Actions

  5. Select Facebook Pages and Forums

  6. Click “Login to Facebook”

  7. Select which forms you would like assigned to your various Facebook pages

  8. Select a Form Display

    • Leader forms display an email address field, and submitters will be taken to the full form via popup   

    • Inline forms display the entire form within the Facebook page

  9. Click “Install”
