DIRECTOR'S LETTER

During the eight years I’ve lived in the Heber Valley, I’ve been more than impressed by the hard work and volunteerism that takes place during Swiss Days.  Hundreds of volunteers work countless hours to run one of Utah’s best festivals. This small-town event is a wonderful model for working together to create outstanding results.  Like Swiss Days, our local businesses can also accomplish amazing things as they work together, and the Heber Valley Chamber is grateful to work hand in hand with you to realize your goals.  Thank you for your support.

A few weeks ago, we held another successful golf tournament where Chamber members enjoyed fun games, great company, and good food at the Soldier Hollow Grill.  Because of your generous donations, we were able to raise $15,000 which will go to Midway City to help create a wayfinding signage program.  But beyond the money that you contributed, the event was awesome because like Swiss Days, we showed what we can do by working together.

Business of the Month
Karl Malone Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram

Staff.JPG

Most people who grew up in Utah in the 1990s Karl Malone is a household name. He and John Stockton were two basketball legends that led the Utah Jazz to back-to-back NBA Finals appearances in 1997 and 1998. Today, Karl is known in the Heber Valley not only for his hard work on the court, but his hard work and compassion in the community.

After retiring from professional basketball Karl Malone ventured into business through a series of auto dealerships along the Wasatch Front. A few years ago Karl and a life longtime friend and Heber Valley resident Andy Madsen, had the opportunity to purchase a dealership here in town. Karl loved the area and decided to purchase Spencer’s Auto.

Over the past few months Karl Malone Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep,Ram has been undergoing an extensive expansion. Around the beginning of August this year the new showroom was completed, and the staff started moving over. Bill Hyde is the general manager at the dealership and has been on staff through the transition from Spencer’s Auto to Karl Malone and said from day one it’s been all about serving the customer and the community with Karl.

2019 Chamber Golf Tournament Recap

It is safe to say that the 2019 Chamber Golf tournament was a great success. Nearing one of our largest tournaments to date we had 132 golfers from dozens of different business show up to play in what we lovingly call "the funnest tournament in Utah." A big thanks goes out to all of our sponsors, players, and donations that helped us raise $15,000 to go towards community wayfinding signs in Midway. Without your support there is no way could put on such a fun outing.

A special thanks goes out to America First Credit Union. For the past several years they have been our title sponsor of the tournament. They have helped us take this tournament from a few handfuls of teams to the fun tournament it is today.

It's never too soon to be thinking about next year and we are looking for a new title sponsor of the tournament. If you are interested in this opportunity or other sponsorship levels give us a call at 435-654-3666 or email jessica@gohebervalley.com.

Congrats to our winners the team from Redmond! More pictures from the tournament on our Facebook Page.
