Chamber Newsletter Headline 2017
August 2, 2019

Just last year, the unthinkable happened at the Heber Valley Chamber Golf Tournament: Paul Christensen—the General Manager of the Homestead Resort and a player in the tournament—made a hole in one and took home a new Chevy Colorado from Labrum Chevrolet. While we can’t promise that lighting will strike twice and that we’ll have another hole-in-one winner, we can guarantee that this year’s golf tournament will be filled with great company, fun games, awesome prizes, and of course, a lot of missing golf balls.

The revenues we generate in this annual tournament help fund city beautification projects. Last year, we were able to raise $10,000 to give to Heber City to help improve their Main Street. This year, the money we raise will be given to Midway City to invest into a wayfinding signage program. And like always, we recognize that the golf tournament is about more than just raising money. We hope lasting relationships will be created as 144 Heber Valley business leaders spend a beautiful day at Soldier Hollow Golf Course. Thanks for your support.

Happy Swinging!

Business of the Month
Bank of Utah

Financial products have a lot of intricacies. Many different factors are taken into account to make quality decisions. Communities are in some ways just as intricate and nuanced as any financial product. For local banks, like Bank of Utah, they make it their priority to know the complexities of both, because more often than not they are tied together.

Stacey Mackay, branch manager at Bank of Utah, as you would suppose, spends a great deal of time running the day to day operations of the bank, from trainings, to meeting customers, and working with her staff. However, just as important as being in the bank, much of Mackay’s time is spent understanding the dynamics of the Heber Valley community.
