Procopio’s Conflicts team is growing! We are seeking a Client Intake Assistant who will work directly with our conflicts team to open new client matters. This person will be responsible for heavy data entry and the ideal candidate must be organized and comfortable with new technology. This role will also correspond with the attorneys on a daily basis to obtain pertinent information relating to new and ongoing client matters. They will also help to process file maintenance requests. Candidates must have strong overall technical skills, in addition to strong MS Office Suite skills. The candidate should also be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where multiple projects are going on simultaneously.  This position requires 1+ years related experience in a law firm or professional services corporate environment. The candidate must be a team player with a positive, professional attitude, have strong follow-up skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal and communication skills.

This position is located at our downtown San Diego office where you are able to work a hybrid schedule if desired (up to 2 days work-from-home). The team works closely together; a courteous, professional, and team-oriented approach is essential for success. Typical pay range is from $50,000 – $55,000 annual depending on experience.

Procopio is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support a busy team! If you are passionate about your work and looking to join San Diego’s largest and most progressive law firm, please apply! This position is a 5-days per week in-office role at our downtown San Diego location. The Legal Assistant will work closely with staff and attorneys and will have a variety of responsibilities including:

  • Corporate entity filings and formation including LLCs and LPs
  • Real estate document filings and transaction review
  • Monitor regulations, legal developments and compliance procedures
  • Preparing and submitting conflict inquiries and new matter openings; preparing Engagement Agreements and Conflict Waiver letters
  • Managing, planning, calendaring of all conference calls and meetings, including client interface
  • Assisting in enhancing attorneys practice efficiency and productivity
  • Prepare binders of completed transactions and file documents with the relevant authorities
  • Perform research in internal and external databases and libraries (such research might include investigation of federal or state laws and regulations, relevant markets, industry standards and practices, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, and legal codes)

Our best candidates have 5+ years of Legal Secretary experience and 5+ years of Paralegal experience. This role requires a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA Approved Program. Spanish language fluency is a plus. Candidates should have very strong attention to detail alongside sound judgment, critical thinking, and a high level of ingenuity to assess issues, identify alternatives and recommend solutions. Procopio is looking to add an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Litigation team in our downtown San Diego office. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and responsive professionals who can work in a dynamic environment. They have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a high volume, fast paced civil litigation environment providing litigation assistance and secretarial support. This person will support attorneys who practice corporate and commercial litigation law in both State and Federal courts, so to qualify candidates must have supported attorneys with similar practices. Daily tasks can vary, but general functions will include: formatting briefs, pleadings and other legal documents, entering attorney time and billing, e-filing legal documents, corresponding with clients, submitting expense reports, and calendaring.  Our top candidates can work with a variety of attorney styles and are comfortable communicating with clients and partners.

Candidates must have a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program and at least 5 years working in real estate at a law firm. The candidate must be organized,  detail-orientated, passionate! This team is a leader in the industry and  work with impressive clientele, including projects throughout California, Hawaii, Arizona and Oregon. These projects include condominiums, planned developments, master-planned developments, standard subdivisions, mixed-use projects, mixed-use high-rise projects, affordable housing projects, and commercial condominiums.  The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of real estate documents, a strong passion for supporting clients who’s projects average 5+ years, and a keen attention to detail as the team is very document heavy and technically savvy!
