Digital Operative's Next Adventure

Digital Operative's Next Adventure

"After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb" - Nelson Mandela

The above quote summarized what the last 8 years has represented from a professional and personal perspective. As the news lets out about Digital Operative joining the transcosmos family, I reminisce about the wild roller coaster that was starting and growing a digital agency in San Diego, CA and Denver, CO. I've learned so much over the years from so many people, both internal and external to the company. I wanted to be able to say "Thank You" to all of those people through the years who supported our little digital agency with projects, referrals, verbal support, awards and mentorship. If I made a list it would probably annoy most of you reading this, so I'll hold off and spend the time to send individual messages to those that I'll always remember supporting us from day one.

This post is much more about recognizing an amazing little company in San Diego, CA called Digital Operative or as most refer to it as "DO." Starting in the 2nd bedroom of my co-founder's (Adam) condo in Carmel Valley; we conquered many hills to stand atop of the current one with a new partner in transcosmos. Being able to finally share the news and achievement with my friends, family and colleagues is like unbottling a raging stampede of wild horses ready to travel the lands stretched before them.

So what does this all mean for Digital Operative?

Not much immediately day-to-day. We've been lucky enough to have been working with our new partners over at transcosomos for the past year on some brands building a presence in the US market through their own ecommerce channels. The established relationship was a foundation upon which we had a great deal of trust when it came to embarking on this new adventure. They saw our ability to provide great digital services (strategy, ux, design, development, marketing, CRO/testing) to existing US-based consumer brands and we saw the opportunity to accelerate our growth and offer our customers' global capabilities. As we move into 2017, we're confident that transcosmos is the right partner for DO and we're proud that they see the potential in us.

Here are some of things we're working on because there are more hills to climb:

  • Growth, Training & Culture - Taking care of our people is important to us and with that we want a unified vision everyone can believe in driving us all to be better
  • Client Engagement - A new group within DO to support our customers with growth strategies and proactive planning
  • Branding Refresh - Already in progress, but spending time on our own visual representation is core to 2017
  • Global Support - Leveraging the network of transcosmos, our current and new customers will gain access to markets across Europe, Latin America and Asia
  • Enhanced Offerings - New and current offerings will be released ranging from Consumer Targeting using big data to Content Production (video, photography) to CRO/Testing and more

Thank you to all of our customers, colleagues, friends and family members who have supported us over the past 8 years. We're looking forward to continue climbing more hills into 2017 with all of you.

Let's DO this.
