Yes on B Prioritizes Homes for Public Safety Professionals, Educators and Others

The YES on B campaign recently unveiled a new legally-binding covenant that will create and prioritize new and affordably priced homes for San Diego working families, helping those most harmed by the region’s severe housing crisis.

Through a deed restriction placed on the 1,985 acre property, voting YES on B will guarantee that 1,331 of the new homes will be priced affordably for local working families. It also guarantees 210 affordable units for those making less than half of the area median income in San Diego County. Voting YES on B guarantees that approximately 500 of the new homes will prioritized for first responders, veterans, emergency medical technicians, military personnel and teachers, among others, to purchase.
"This new home-buying program is a game-changer for police officers and for our entire region. By providing attainably-priced homes prioritized for law enforcement officers, other first responders, teachers and military, we are making our community better, stronger and safer. That's why we urge everyone in the County of San Diego to vote YES on B."

- Jack Schaeffer,
President of the San Diego Police Officers Association
YES on B will affirm the San Diego County Board of Supervisors’ unanimous approval of a 2,135 home community with 1,209 acres of open space in North San Diego County, instead of the current General Plan designation that calls for a 2 million square foot commercial complex and 99 estate homes.
