Violence rolls like thunder across the gentle plains. May I be the single point of consciousness repeating what is good, loving, and kind.
When the heart breaks, medicine pours from the wound, and often with it, a prayer or longing. If you stay close, you can feel and hear it.
I pray every heart in angst finds rest. I see love rising like steam from millions of sore hearts and a people walking themselves toward individual and collective resolution. I see feelings and grief finally processed. I see authentic power weaving itself into our hearts. I see you and me, taking fear in one hand and love in the other, repeating like a choir without ceasing, “I choose love. I choose love. I choose love.”
I see a world in which the collective consciousness is focused on one thing, love. Where children are born into a tender climate of joy and challenges are proportional to the love in their hearts. Where growth comes in incremental happenings and trauma is an experience of the past. I feel the hearts of so many bleeding and I know the possibility of healing. I see a world of peace.
I want for everyone to find what Sarah has helped me find inside myself...a safe, peaceful, loving center in which I can take refuge. I pray for all the frightened children. Are we not all children really? May all be comforted.
I also hope for authentic power. Leaders of the world who truly, deeply care for our selves with the same hearts that they have for their own families.
Those who can lead and be respected in their deeply calculated and educated decisions.
No more bullying of their own people, or of allied countries.
That’s what I hope for, for my future children and for yours.

How can we find compassion for the barbarous broken souls? They will not listen if we respond in kind. We must stand together in spirit with kindness and love for each person we encounter. We must know in our hearts our separateness is an illusion. I have faith that our inter-being is moving in that direction. It may take longer than an individual life. But if we sow these seeds among one another eventually the garden will grow again as lovely as it can be. That is what I strive to stand for, it is simple but not easy. But we must keep practicing, it seems the best approach now. No harm can come from this way to any living being. “You might say I’m a dreamer but I’m not the only one” ☮️♥️🌏
I deeply want humanity to choose peace over war. Love over hate. I deeply want all children to feel safe, loved and heard. I deeply want eyes to be wiped clean so that those whose actions and words lead only to hate will be seen for what they are - that these actions and words will be washed away by our united flow of love. 💞
I deeply want a world where all living creatures are seen and recognized as individual souls that have as much right to freedom, compassion and kindness as the rest of us. I deeply want the inhabitants of our world to respect our planet and the amazing gifts of beauty, wonder and resilience it shows us. I deeply want a world where kindness and compassion are the foundation upon which we live our lives. I see a world where despots are cast out and leaders of heart and consciousness take their place. I see every country in the world put the happiness and health of their people first. I see a world where love and kindness thrive, and hatred, greed and selfishness die.

I want to live in a world in which we *actually* love one another. My family and I went to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia today to see a new Harry Potter exhibit and we walked through the famous two-story Giant Heart exhibit, following the path of blood. As I climbed through aortas and ventricles, I thought of Sarah Blondin and this community. I thought of that night over three years ago when I first listened to a Sarah Blondin meditation on Insight Timer and how it literally felt like my cold and hardened heart was thawing and softening. That night was a turning point in my life and I deeply want others to experience that and to live in a heart-minded way.
I pray for the realization of oneness in every person on this planet. Every act of violence, you are doing against everyone including yourself. Every act of love and kindness, you are nurturing everyone including yourself. I pray for us to realize that we are one body functioning together and in love we need to look out for EVERYONE! Peace to the people in Ukraine, peace to the people who are under the illusion of having to go the path of violence, may your wrong perception be lifted off your minds.
I deeply want to happen a collective heart opening, love pouring so fast from one being to another, that it washes away the deep woundedness we have caused each other and our mother earth. That great waves of tears cleanse this place we call home and helps us all heal together.
I pray for Ukraine, and all the people suffering from this insane situation, hiding in subway stations, being separated from loved ones and leaving their homes. But I also pray for Putin and the little innocent boy he once was and hopefully still has inside him... I pray that he might find a tiny bit of warmth and love in his heart and stop this madness. Choosing love is the only right choice, always and for every single one of us.
I pray that everyone-the bullies who use hurt and pain to fill their wounds-and the people that they injure on their paths to have more and more and more-all, everyone, to find their true loving nature. I send this wish, this prayer out to our world.
I deeply wish to feel it all. I deeply wish for all to feel it all. So that we all may move forward in healing from pain and separation…and all the children may inherit a world that is better, brighter, more magical than when you and I found it.
For everyone to understand, love, and truly embrace each other. For the world to be -- in all its essence -- a safe place for every child. For peace to win and for all forms of violence to be over.

I want trauma to be recognized as the force it is so that everyone has the resources to heal. I want our culture to change to support humans as individuals and to celebrate our differences. I want every soul to be filled with peace and every heart with good intention. I want compassion to run so deep we can’t deny we are all one, connected in a single system of being all over this planet. For every human to turn to the living beings around them, treating them with the same affection and understanding and patience we would if they were our child. This includes the grace and embrace of our own tender, wounded and evolving souls. I crave the energy of the divine feminine- wide, inclusive and encompassing, listening for the better future we all so deeply yearn for. May we live, may we listen, may we be kind and may we come together to heal our planet and every desperate soul on it.

Crowded in a subway station in Kharkiv
A student from another country clutches
A dog to her chest
Answering the reporter’s questions
As men rush down the stairs
Interrupting the interview.
Toddlers in snowsuits on blankets.
Teenagers, heads down to their phones.
Mothers’ eyes looking everywhere.
Svieta says she grabbed her documents and cash,
She has a car, but nowhere to go.

Smiles shyly as he eyes the camera.
