Running industry innovators come together to aid athletes on courses across the United States
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (May 1, 2019) – ElliptiGO Inc., the pioneer and world leader in stand up cycling, and Race Guards, the premiere providers of on-course, in-race first aid using a team of endurance runners and medical professionals running with the participants from start to finish, have announced plans to expand their partnership nationwide.

Race Guards added ElliptiGO Stand Up Bikes to their race support protocol last fall at long distance events in Southern California and Texas, reaching more athletes in need of aid while riding ElliptiGO's latest stand up bike products. Select volunteers can now be seen riding the all-terrain Mountain Stand Up Bike which enables them to handle any terrain they encounter along the course. This added tool offers Race Guards the ability to reach more course locations more quickly, to improve their ability to spot participants in need of help, and to carry additional first aid supplies on the course.

"Working with Race Guards was a natural fit for ElliptiGO, as we both seek to make active people everywhere healthier and happier," said Bryce Whiting, vice president of sales and marketing for ElliptiGO. "This partnership is an opportunity to make it simple for those Race Guards' volunteers utilizing our bikes to reach participants in need of care, and also to remind athletes that they can reach race day injury-free by cross-training during their season."

"Our team of Race Guards are endurance runners who provide in-race support for athletes", said Andy Voggenthaler, founder of Race Guards. "By adding a couple of ElliptiGO bikes to our race mix, our team is able to be even more effective and responsive on the course on race day."
